Perform approved laboratory procedures to provide data for use in treatment and diagnosis of disease.

• A 12 hour per week position for a volunteer or career staff person who raises support
• Must be able to work in the US

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper precautions, including wearing protective clothing and eye wear
• Follow laboratory quality control policies
• Maintain patient dignity, comfort, and confidentiality
• Collect from patients and process specimens, including skin and bodily fluid samples
• Perform diagnostic testing to provide accurate and reliable results
• Report results to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients
• Provide positive, warm, and friendly customer service
• Maintain documentation of all tests performed
• Order, receive, and distribute laboratory supplies
• Perform administrative duties and supervision of any laboratory staff
• Demonstrate a deep and growing walk with the Lord Jesus that includes your personal growth and the ability to support others in their spiritual growth
• Embrace the vision, mission, and core values of JAARS, and help us live them effectively

Education and Experience

• Needs Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related field OR any Bachelor degree along with experience in lab procedures/techniques
• AMT or ASCP License preferred but not required
• Minimum 1+ year of verifiable phlebotomy experience
• Proficient in basic computer skills

Our campus includes extensive training facilities, an airport, office and commercial facilities, guest housing, food services, recreational areas, health clinic, on-site childcare, and youth and family ministry support for staff and partners.
