ORGANIZATION: Bethany Christian Services

We are seeking a female, Spanish-speaking volunteer to work with a 16-year-old female youth from Guatemala in Bethany's refugee foster care program. This youth arrived to Bethany's program in October of 2019, and she is a 10th grader at a local public school. The youth has been engaging well in the program and has formed some friendships with the other youth in the program. There are no current behavioral concerns. She is allergic to mayonnaise.

In Guatemala, this youth went to school in the morning and then would work on a farm in the afternoon. She faced ongoing abuse and neglect from a family member who she was living with.
