1. Welcome surgery patients and families/visitors
2. Maintain cleanliness in waiting area
3. Make coffee for the waiting room area
4. Answer phone calls from staff/incoming outside
5. Inform families/visitors of status of patients in surgery
6. Direct families/visitors to consulting rooms if needed
7. Inform families/visitors what room the patient will be in
