Description
The Chief Learning Officer will spearhead the comprehensive and strategic transformation of the HHP organizational development practice. The CLO will design, implement, and drive a comprehensive development and organization effectiveness strategy to achieve desired business results through a highly visible culture shaping initiative that ensures all staff and volunteers understand the impact that talent management can have on organizational effectiveness. The CLO will build overarching company training curriculum that aligns with HHP’s mission, goals and core values.
Essential functions:
- Advise senior management/executives concerning impact of business initiatives on talent development.
- Work with Executive Management and Team Heads to articulate a vision of how learning and development will support the firm' s business objectives and strategic initiatives.
- Lead efforts that will identify training and program needs and determine appropriate means to deliver related programs.
- Develop a strategic plan of professional training for associates that ensures an effective pipeline of current and future talent.
- Further develop and enhance the firm wide mentoring program for associates that supports and promotes skill development and personal growth.
- Continually assess organizational status in terms of talent utilization, performance development, capacity, motivation, and other organizational effectiveness indicators.
- Provide learning/development strategies and programs that deliver business results.
- Ensure alignment of talent management activities across organization.
- Collaborate with colleagues in quality/performance improvement to design and implement process improvements where needed.
Position Requirements
- The successful candidate will have the following:
- 10-15 years’ experience in leading healthcare corporate-wide learning, talent management and/or organizational development functions
- Understanding of the adult learning process and alternate learning methods, tools and technology
- The ability to communicate with diverse audiences, listen, collaborate in problem solving, and build trust
- Be skilled in, platform training, coaching/consulting with executives/leaders and presenting complex information to multiple levels
- An established track record of successfully designing and implementing professional development programs
- Proven ability to provide innovative solutions
- Strong management and leadership skills
- Ability to establish excellent rapport with staff
- Master’s degree preferred but not necessary
