ORGANIZATION: Mystic Valley Elder Services, Inc.

Did you know that up to 30% of adults in their homes will fall each year, with 20% of those falls causing injury? Falls are common, predictable, and preventable, and you can help!

We are currently recruiting Volunteers to train as a Matter of Balance Coach for upcoming trainings in various communities! A Matter of Balance Coach runs a program that is designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase the activity levels of older adults. Group leaders are trained to run the 8 week program and work with a co-leader. During classes coaches encourage group discussion, problem solving, and skill building, while also providing training and practical solutions.

There is a training scheduled later in February, so don't miss your chance to sign up today!
