Furry Friends, founded in 1999, is a Vancouver, WA, 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill cat rescue and adoption organization. We strive to help cats in the Vancouver-Portland Metropolitan and surrounding area receive the medical services and companionship they need. We are operated entirely by volunteers. Our Mission is to rescue abused, abandoned or otherwise homeless cats and house them in a safe, healthy and socialized environment until we find new "forever homes" for them.


Volunteers are needed to help in the Halfway House as an Assistant. You must be able to follow house procedures and protocols and be dependable (the cats rely on you). Duties also include: cleaning litter boxes, washing/drying bedding, sweeping/vacuuming/mopping, feeding/watering, giving medications, and playing/socializing with cats.

Lead person will train. Video training is also provided. Must be able to bend and lift at least 10 pounds. Minimum age is 18

Shifts available:

Monday 9 - 11 a.m.

Tuesday 8 - 10 a.m.

Wednesday 8 - 10 a.m.

Thursday 9 - 11 a.m.

Friday 5 - 7 p.m.

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program supports over 100 non-profits and organizations in Clark County, Washington by interviewing, screening, and referring volunteers ages 55 and up.
