Have you always wanted to flip houses? Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity is looking for enthusiastic, skilled volunteers to join a brand new team focused on renovating properties to raise funds for the Habitat mission.
When you join the Empower Investments volunteer team, you could be helping hang kitchen cabinets one day, painting a bathroom the next or installing flooring the day after that. Anything a property may need is an opportunity for our Renovation Volunteers.
As a subsidiary of Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity, Empower Investments LLC. acquires below market value properties from Donations, Banks, Real Estate Agents, Attorneys & Families then improves them to sell & uses the profits to fund neighborhood revitalization.
Milwaukee Habitat is combating our city’s affordable housing crisis by helping local families build or repair a place they can call home. Instead of paying more than half their income on rent, families who qualify for our program help build their own homes and pay an affordable mortgage. Additionally we partner with residents in the neighborhood where we work to offer affordable critical home repairs.
Our volunteers will bring a wide variety of skills and their own tools to help on a "project-by-project" basis throughout the city. As Empower Investments acquires properties, the Volunteer Team will assist with renovations during weekdays from 9 AM to 3 PM.
Volunteers are asked to join the Real Estate Development Manager on a current project site to review the scope of work and additional training will be provided as projects arise.
