Confluence connects you to the history, living cultures, and ecology of the Columbia River system through Indigenous voices. We are a community-supported nonprofit that works through six art landscapes, educational programs, and public gatherings in collaboration with northwest tribes, communities, and the celebrated artist Maya Lin.

In this position you will help host public events, engage that public at Confluence information table at events, and help with light gardening and maintenance at 2 sites (Fort Vancouver and Sandy River Delta in Troutdale, OR).

Qualifications for this position include the minimum age of 18 years old, the ability to speak comfortably with the public, carry up to 20 pounds, and sometimes walk 25 miles. Very little training required, mostly background reading. Time commitment available is Monday-Sunday and times are based on events or work parties. Minimum commitment is 6 months.

Description

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program supports over 100 non-profits and organizations in Clark County, Washington by interviewing, screening, and referring volunteers ages 55 and up.
