The essence of our organization exists in our human spirit - the spirit and passion of those that serve and the spirit and determination of those who accept our services. We are dedicated to exploring new and innovative ways to serve those in need of long-term care, whatever their age, and to find ways to provide services beyond the traditional state and federal tax-funded sources.
From our formation in 1978 by three community volunteers (Cahoon, Deckard, Murray), CDM has been dedicated to solving the inherent problems of caring for a loved one at home. Every new program, every focus on expanded training, and every step to ensure a stable workforce has brought us closer, but we continue to evolve and utilize best practices in the industry to ensure safe, quality services for those under our care.
CDM opened the McKibbin Center in 2018 to better provide Adult Day Services, and CDM continues to be the largest provider of in-home care in Clark County.
Volunteers are needed to assist in the program room. Run small groups of activities for clients with Alzheimer's, dementia, and TBI. Activities include BINGO, art, trivia, dice, gardening projects, etc. Activity times vary. Qualification for this position is the minimum age of 18 years old. Training is provided.More opportunities with Human Services Council - Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)
