A Caring Closet provides gently used durable medical equipment (DME) to those in need at no cost: DME items include but not limited to hospital beds, wheelchairs, walkers, bath benches and adult briefs. Volunteers are needed to assist people who come in looking for pieces of durable medical equipment, having them sign out and fill out liability waiver, answer the phone or check messages, assist people who drop off equipment for donation and write a donation receipt, and evaluate equipment to determine if it is appropriate to the needs of the clientele. Experience with basic medical equipment a plus but not necessary. This is a 100% volunteer run organization so we appreciate our volunteers and know what a value they are to organizations.
Minimum age is 18 years old. Time commitment is Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program supports over 100 non-profits and organizations in Clark County, Washington by interviewing, screening, and referring volunteers ages 55 and up.
