ORGANIZATION: Habitat for Humanity - MidOhio

  • 9 people are interested

Habitat for Humanity-MidOhio launched The Playhouse Project in 2019, a program that allowd Habitat MidOhio to partner with sponsors to build playhouse for local families- providing children with a safe place to play and imagine what home means to them! Funds raised through this program go towards building new houses right here in Central Ohio.

We are currently looking for volunteers to serve as Playhouse Project Captains. Playhouse Project Captains will coordinate groups of 8-12 volunteers in assembling and painting playhouses. Having volunteer captains will allow us to engage more groups and lead playhouse builds more effectively.

We will be holding captain training sessions at our warehouse in March and April, in preparation for "Playhouse Blitz Season" this spring. For more details, please visit http://playhouse.habitatmidohio.volunteerhub.com/.

About Habitat for Humanity - MidOhio

3140 Westerville Rd, Columbus, OH 43224, US

Mission Statement

To work in partnership with God and people to build houses, empower families and develop communities.

Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI), and the Central Ohio Affiliate, is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry. Habitat affiliates work locally in communities around the world to select and support homeowners, organize volunteers, and coordinate house building.

Supporting Habitat for Humanity - MidOhio is Habitat’s ReStore, a retail outlet that accepts and re-sells reusable home improvement materials to the general public. Revenue from sales directly offsets Habitat’s administrative costs and assists in both eliminating substandard housing and creating homeownership in Central Ohio.
