Help fight hunger by helping volunteer at the Sports Basement in Sunnyvale!
We are looking for friendly volunteers to hand out race bibs, shirts, and other tasks associated with the Applied Materials Silicon Valley Turkey Trot race. This race is a fundraiser for five local nonprofits including Second Harvest. Our goal is to raise $1 million for our nonprofits this year! Won't you help?
We have four hour shifts daily the week leading up to the race. We especially need help during the weekdays - Friday, and Monday-Wednesday before the race. Please sign up and help!
This is an indoor volunteer opportunity. Also, as a special bonus - all volunteers will receive a significant discount which can be used to shop at Sports Basement, along with a volunteer t-shirt!
All you need to bring is a smile and a fun attitude! We will provide the training.

Second Harvest of Silicon Valley is a private non-profit organization that collects and distributes more than 12 million pounds of food each month. We currently serve an average of over 500,000 individuals each month; 60% are low income families and 20% are seniors. By building collaborative networks, we efficiently distribute food by leveraging donations of money, food and human resources. But we cannot do it alone.
