Sign Language Companion for People with Developmental Disabilities

This volunteer position is to provide support and company to two adults who have hearing loss and communicate using American Sign Language (ASL). The volunteer would visit the residence after 3 pm once the residents return home from their daily programs and provide companionship to the adults.

*Volunteers who commit to more than a one-time event will be interviewed, attend two all-day training classes, and undergo extensive background checks. The volunteer on-boarding process can take one month or more from the initial application date.
