Spend time at Ebenezer Cannon Rivers Senior Living with patients who are in hospice care. Visits may involve:
- Talking
- Reading to the patient
- Taking the patient for a walk
- Providing hand massage (training provided)
- Playing a game with a patient
- Being a caring presence
Hospice is a philosophy of care that focuses on comfort and quality of life for patients with a life expectancy of 6 months or less. Visits typically last 30 minutes-1 hour per patient. You can see one patient or multiple patients at the same facility. No medical experience is necessary. Health screening, background check, and training provided at no cost to you.

Description
When life expectancy is limited, Accentcare Fairview Hospice staff and volunteers will help patients and caregivers focus on improving the quality of their remaining days. Hospice provides medical, emotional, social and spiritual care. We bring these services to the familiar setting of patient's own homes whenever possible. The same kind of care may also be given at a long-term care site, a group home, an assisted living site or a residential hospice.
