SHARE! Collaborative Housing is a nonprofit that connects homeless persons to affordable housing. We are now launching an internship program. About SHARE! The Self Help And Recovery Exchange

Location:

6666 Green Valley Circle, Culver City, CA 90230, US

Mission Statement

The mission of SHARE! the Self-Help And Recovery Exchange, is to help people in Los Angeles pursue personal growth and change. SHARE! empowers people to change their own lives and provides them a loving, safe, non-jugemental place where they can find community, information and support.

Description

Self-help has been documented to be cost effective, life-prolonging and helpful. Yet a lack of information about the benefits of the groups and how to access them prevents people from attending self groups.

Self-help support groups offer early intervention for a multitude of serious health concerns which can become much more difficult-and costlier-to treat later on. People who use self-help groups to change unhealty behavior have a higher rate of success than those who do not attend support groups.
