There are elders and adults living with disabilities who are unable to access the cash they need to lead an independent life. Use your time to provide an important service to these individuals, while also serving as a friendly face to say hello!
The Cash Distribution Specialist provides support to the Money Management team at Mystic Valley Elder Services. We are currently looking for volunteers for service recipients living in the communities of Revere and Winthrop, travel to the Mystic Valley Elder Services office in Malden would also be required. The commitment would be 2-4 hours per week during weekday hours.
The Money Management program promotes independence for people at risk who cannot manage their financial affairs and need help with bill paying tasks. The Cash Distribution Specialist provides crucial support to the Money Management team by working with those in need of a weekly allotment of cash but are unable to access funds on their own due to mobility limitations. In addition, the specialist provides a well-being check for these people in their homes.

Description
MVES is a nonprofit organization that since 1975 has acted as an entry point through which elders, families, caregivers, and health care professionals can access a wide variety of programs, services, and supports. MVES is one of the largest in a network of 25 similar aging services organizations in Massachusetts. MVES promotes safe, independence for elders and adults living with disabilities in eleven cities and towns north of Boston.
