In this modern day way of life, transportation plays a big role. We have to get to the grocery store, the post office, the library, a doctor appointment, the dentist, the list is endless. If you drive you know how convenient having a car is.
What if you don't have a car? Or what if you don't drive? What do you do then? Contact family or friends could be a solution for some, but not all.
That's why we are looking for volunteer drivers. We have many more senior clients than drivers who need to get, mostly, to the doctors office.
If you have a vehicle with a working horn, lights and brakes you could be on your way to helping someone get to where they need to be.
You driving record doesn't have to be perfect. You pick where and when you drive. There are no weekend trips. You can select rides using a computer or talk to the ride coordinator, whichever way your prefer.
There is an application to fill out, we need three references and a copy of your driving record.
You are protected from liability while driving. Clients can enter and exit the vehicle on their own.
For those who want it, mileage reimbursement is available.
