The Friends & Foundation of Albany Public Library host a weekly book talk in person each and every Tuesday at the Washington Avenue Branch auditorium.

Book talks include reviews of timely and classic works, as well as author talks and special programs. The book talks are free and open to the public. Speakers begin their talks promply at 12:15pm every Tuesday, and wrap up anywhere from 1pm to 1:30pm.

The Friends & Foundation currently are looking for a dedicated reception volunteer, who can speak with arriving guests and answer questions about other Friends & Foundation programs.

Sometime this summer, eating and drinking in the auditorium will again be permitted, and the Friends will need dedicated coffee service volunteers.

And, the Friends are always on the lookout for book reviewers! If there's a title that you would like to review, respond to this ad and include (1) a Tuesday that you are available (preferable 3-4 months away) and (2) the title of the book you would like to review. We will pass along your information to the Friends programmer.
