LIJ Valley Stream is developing a Caregiver Program for individuals who provide care to family members or friends. Most caregivers do not self-identify and often require support, resources, and education that are difficult to obtain without help and/or guidance. We are searching for committed Volunteers who have experience in caregiving, either personally or professionally, to provide guidance and support as Caregiver Coaches. We are asking our Coaches to commit to one day a week for a minimum of 4 hours. Our team will provide training and education for our Coaches and will partner with them so that they are comfortable in the role. Help us make a difference for our caregivers and our community.

Description
Long Island Jewish Valley Stream is a 284 licensed-bed, full-service community hospital caring for patients in Nassau County and southeastern Queens. We are currently building a new, state-of-the art emergency department as well as an orthopedic hospital within the facility which will differentiate LIJ Valley Stream as the hospital of choice for premier orthopedic care on the south shore of Long Island and far beyond.
The Orthopedic Hospital at LIJ Valley Stream offers comprehensive orthopedic care delivered by highly skilled experts who specialize in all fields of general orthopedic care and surgery. Long Island Jewish Valley Stream is also a designated stroke center certified by the American Heart Association and is affiliated with the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/ Northwell.
