The pandemic has decreased the availability of food to low income families and the houseless on the Santa Barbara South Coast. A Community Group is needed to provide a meal once a month to a group of people experiencing homelessness. This is a great opportunity for a group interested in helping others in a impactful way. We currently need 3 groups for the first, third and fourth Wednesday of the month, 5:30 at Pershing Park. The service usually takes no longer than 30-45 minutes from set up to finish. The group is responsible for bringing a complete nutritious dinner meal to share with 30 people. Assistance from other organizations may be possible if needed. A large collaboration of community organizations and volunteers have been assisting people at this park for over a decade and we are excited to have a new partner join the effort. Please email with interest. Thank you for considering this service to others.
