By volunteering at our reception desk for 2 hours a week (flexible), you will get the opportunity to be the first point of contact for women reaching out to WRC.
Our front-desk volunteers are so much more than 'someone who answers the phone.’ As part of the team, you will be trained on local resources and referral processes, and be empowered to provide immediate support to women in our community, as well be the front face of WRC for visiting clients. You will also have the opportunity to help distribute 'kits' from our Personal Product Pantry to our visitors.
WRC is a small agency with a big heart, and we rely heavily on volunteer support. Many of our visitors are dealing with sensitive emotional issues that may be challenging to see and hear. Because of this, all volunteer applicants do undergo a screening, interview, and training process. This is not to discourage you, and only conducted with the goal of providing the best support possible to our community!
Current Resource and Referral Volunteer shifts vary but are all between 9am-4pm Monday thru Thursday. Contact us to find out more and or copy and paste the following link to fill out an application: https://a115018.socialsolutionsportal.com/apricot-intake/420e2e78-55f0-4827-8f69-6a9e89fedb64
