Family Support Group Facilitator
Requirements: Prospective facilitators must be family members (parents, siblings, adult children, spouses or partners) of individuals with mental illness. Must be a NAMI member.
Certification training: Two-day weekend training sponsored by NAMI Wisconsin. Usually offered twice a year. Training, lodging, and meals are paid for by affiliate and state organizations.
Commitment: Must be willing to facilitate at least one 90-minute group meeting per month for two years following certification.

Support, Education and Advocacy have been the themes of our affiliate. We are a volunteer organization; our members have a passion to advocate for improved mental health care and supports. Our affiliate provides outreach activities in the community. To learn more about NAMI or mental illness contact us. We also offer NAMI In Our Own Voice Presentations. These presentations are available to a variety of groups in the community (civic, school, church or business) to hear from individuals who share their personal stories of recovery.
