One family in Chatsworth and one in Simi Valley both desperately need someone to sit with their loved one while they get a little sleep or go buy groceries.
This will make a big difference to families that take care of their loved ones day and night and do not want to leave their loved one alone. The family member ends up frazzled with little time to eat or even take a shower. They need time to buy groceries or take a nap. Your presence and the love you bring will make a huge difference in their lives.
You could bring your own work or communicate with the patient if the patient is awake. You won't be feeding the patient, or giving medicine, etc. If there is a problem, you can call the hospice, the family, or whatever is decided.
There is a training and background check and some medical requirements such as a TB test and a simple doctor form. Because these families are desperate, I will try to get you up and running as soon as possible.
