ORGANIZATION: FACES Inc.- Family Assessment, Counseling & Education Services

FACES  for Safe Kids
Parents and children are helped at FACES through our services

Monday-Friday 9am-1pm or 1pm-5pm. Minimum 2 shifts of 4hrs./week and minimum 6 month commitment. Work with a team of Program Assistants to support coverage of front office responsibilities.
School units can be earned for semester

Interface with counselors, supervisors, attorneys, social workers and judges who refer clients to the agency.


  • Assist Program Manager and Administrative Director with scheduling appointments, intake, data entry, organizing, planning, implementation and evaluation of family service programs.
  • Attend orientation and shadow present staff for professional training and continuing education programs.
  • Responsible for seeing to it that the office is equipped with sanitizers, masks, thermometer. Social distancing and masking observed. All Volunteers and staff are required to be vaccinated prior to working in the office
  • Answer crisis calls.
  • Required to attend Friday 10am staff meetings, set up agendas, take notes, set up appointments, assist with planning, phone calls, interviews, etc.
  • Assist in management of operation details, statistics and program details. May be selected to assist Executive management with organizational tasks.
  • Collect data from client database. Input data to database. Work with Office manager to generate and provide reports for board of directors monthly meetings.
  • Audit therapist data base
  • Call clients and set up therapy appointments with therapist,
  • Confirm with therapist.
  • Monthly report review for amount of sessions provided

Mission Statement

F.A.C.E.S. mission is to provide community based no and low cost professional counseling and other services for children and their families in crisis from separation and divorce, and to provide education to prevent family violence. FACES is a training facility, offering opportunities for learning about therapy and working with California family law courts, social services and other community organizations.

Description

Family Assessment Counseling & Education Services, bettter known as F.A.C.E.S. was founded in 1988 for children and families in crisis.

Our Programs were developed in response to community needs They include:

  • Family and Child Counseling, monitored visits, anger management, parenting classes, single parents groups, co-parents groups, teen anger management, childrens groups.
  • Education Services for professionals who work with families. English and Spanish, Farsi, Korean, Vietnamese, etc.

Fundraising events include a volunteer recognition lunch, a barbecue, a gala dinner in the fall, a pie eating contest on CSUF campus, a Thanksgiving Feast for volunteers, several restaurant fundraisers, a casino night and Hearts in Action every year in February.
