Up to 8 Business Volunteers to mentor young people, guiding them to invent/innovate a new app and then be a judge when they showcase the outcomes, useful to have problem solving skills, commercial knowledge and IT knowledge but not essential. (Duration: School day 8.30am - 3pm approx.).
Students need to gain a greater understanding of the links between GCSE and school choices to careers in line with The Gatsby Benchmark introduced throughout all schools in September 2018. This event is focused on students from Yr8 (12-13yr olds).
Join with other business volunteers to be an ambassador bringing the world of work closer to education. Help young people begin the pathway to a career in Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths.

Description
We currently support over 30,000 children in the local area running curriculum events to assist local schools. The local area being Bracknell, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead and Slough Borough. We reach out to support both Primary and Secondary education therefore age 4-19yrs. We look for corporate membership and school membership to fund the charitable organisation and have been running successfully for over two decades. We also survive off the generous volunteering offered by both individuals and corporations.
