Do You Like Animals and Children? Do You Want to Help Animals While also Helping our Youth Cope?

Help with a program that utilizes youth to care for animals in need at the Humane Society. This program will provide students a hands-on opportunity to directly make an impact on the lives of animals at the Gulf Coast Humane Society. In conjunction with Andrew’s Anthem, students will learn mindfulness practices and concepts that will help decrease stress and improve well-being.
Opportunity requires that the individual have a strong mindfulness practice (if interested in facilitating the program) and is open and willing to work with youth 11-19 years old.
Also in need of volunteers for program follow-up such as phone calls and surveys.

We currently offer mindfulness programs for teens and adults as well as a community program for teens in collaboration with the local humane society.

- A few hours a week for communications and follow up with participants. Two hours each Thursday for hands on-program facilitation.
