Mission Statement

Expressions Educational & Cultural Center’s (EECC) purpose is to support the development of children in New York City in discovering their full potential. EECC seeks to achieve this goal by providing educational resources and support, life skills training, cultural and environmental programs to children and families.

Description

Expressions Educational & Cultural Center (EECC) proudly served the New York City Community for 20+ years in providing school-age children (ages 4 to 13) a nurturing, supervised environment for their academic, creative and social growth. Our program focuses on developing each child’s strengths and interests.

One of the cornerstones of our program is to provide nutritiously balanced meals to our children. Studies have shown a strong correlation between students’ performance in the classroom and their nutritional well-being. The program is operated by a highly qualified and friendly team.

The value of what happens between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM during the school year can have a profoundly positive impact on our children’s lives. EECC offers multiple mediums of creative expression through which the children can explore the world. Baking/cooking lessons are used to sharpen their taste buds, make math more practical, and introduce them to different cultures.

Through drama, our students develop public speaking skills, improve literacy, reading fluency, comprehension, and build self-confidence. Music, STEM, Arts, and Crafts work to enhance a child’s ability to articulate their thoughts, develop research, and problem-solving skills are included in our after school curriculum. Our students take books from page to stage and perform at senior centers and libraries in the community.
