ORGANIZATION: Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter

For folks that aren't able to walk the large dogs, we have created a new opportunity to have a volunteer play in the yard (play fetch, tug, or just hang out and give them some special one on one time) with the dogs or they can sit and brush the dogs. This will occur during our daily cleaning shifts or during Saturday adoptions.

Mission Statement

Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter is a non-profit 501(c3) organization made up solely of volunteers. We are committed to taking care of the dogs and cats in the shelter and finding them happy homes. We also strive to raise awareness, provide education, and work to better the living conditions at the shelter.

Description

FOPAS rescues from Platte County Animal Control, Platte City Animal Control, Smithville Animal Control, Plattsburg Animal Control, Kansas City Animal Control, North Kansas City Animal Control, Kansas City, Kansas Animal Control, and more. The shelter is operated by volunteers, so we do not have hours or paid staff.
