Pacific Symphony is the premier Symphonic orchestra in Orange County. Through exceptional musical performances, educational opportunities and community programming, Pacific Symphony inspires, engages and serves the Orange County community and Southern CA region.

Currently, the symphony is looking for 2-3 volunteer Violin Mentors for one of our education programs, Santa Ana Strings.

Santa Ana Strings Violin Mentors

  • Santa Ana Strings is an after-school violin instruction program that provides 2nd-6th grade students with instruments and classroom instruction four days each week during the school year
  • Violin mentors make a difference in students’ musical education by providing extra support and time to help with their practice
  • Requirements: must have string experience (expert violin experience is not necessary) and must enjoy working with students in a hands-on environment
Time commitment: one hour per week. Either Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays from 2:30-3:30pm, or Wednesdays from 1:30-3:30pm from September to May. We currently need the most volunteers on Thursdays.

Presenting more than 100 concerts annually, and a rich array of award-winning education and community programs, Pacific Symphony reaches more than 300,000 people each year, from school children to senior citizens.
