Banner Hospice serves patients and families who live in their home, or in the place they have come to know as home, such as an assisted living center or group home.
Hospice allows people who are near the end of life to live as comfortably and fully as possible while dying.
Our interdisciplinary team includes nurses, social workers, chaplains, and very importantly VOLUNTEERS!
Some of our patients are Spanish-speaking only, or predominantly Spanish speaking, and would prefer to have a volunteer with whom they can converse in their native tongue.
Volunteer opportunities include offering respite to a caregiver (sitting with a patient so the caregiver can take a break) or socialization (talking with a patient who may feel isolated due to their circumstances).
Please contact us if you are interested!
