Join Transition House for Dinner! We are in need of a food service group that would like to provide dinner for the residents living in our shelter. This is a one time service, and can be done more often as days open up throughout the year.
Transition House is a non-profit organization in Santa Barbara, California, dedicated to the solution of family homelessness. Transition House offers a comprehensive three-stage housing program that aims at helping families develop life skills and sound decision making practices, aimed at alleviating their poverty through strong family-centered support services and rigorous case management.
This volunteer opportunity involves purchasing groceries, cooking, and serving. Your group size can be 3 to 5 volunteers. Dinner is needed for approximately 60 people ( 20 adults, 10 teens, and 30 children). Volunteers may arrive at the Transition House shelter as early as 4:30 p.m and dinner is served at 6:30pm.
