ORGANIZATION: Humane Society of Scott County

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 1 person is interested

This is a fun volunteer task that is often on weekends and is well suited for both adult volunteers and adults with minor aged volunteers! Some examples of events include our annual Dog Days Out and Mardi Paws events, multiple adoption events throughout the year at places like Petco, rabies vaccination clinics at our shelter, and much more! Our volunteer coordinator will help get you signed up for these events as needed. A few examples of duties while attending events include:

  • Holding, transporting, and/or speaking to the public about adoptable pets at the event
  • Games or booths at events such as at Dog’s Day Out
  • General event set up
  • Assisting staff with organization while at the event
