If you have a passion for making a lifelong difference in a child's life please consider becoming a Volunteer Child Advocate. Advocates are trained and supported volunteers who advocate for the best interest of children in the foster care system. A volunteer will visit with their children at least once every 30 days, talk to those involved with the child and advocate for what is in their best interest. This position takes an average of 8 flexible hours per month. Please contact us to arrange to attend a no obligation orientation session to find out if this is the right opportunity for you. The need is great in Putnam County, currently only 50% of the children in the foster care system are being represented so please consider helping a child in your community.
