Kitty Kat Haven

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 2 people are interested

We have spots open to clean the cat building and socialize with our cats. As an animal care volunteer at Kitty Kat Haven, you will help with day-to-day operations. As an added bonus, you will get to socialize and spend quality time with the cats. We take in adult cats, and unlike kittens, they have a hard time adjusting to change. It is essential that all of our cats have positive interactions with people. They are shy, scared, or mourning a loved one who has passed away. Our building is located on private property in Chehalis WA; you will get our address after you sign-up to be a volunteer. You can help out at our Program Center in downtown Chehalis during our weekly adoption days.

Mission Statement

We believe in giving local adult cats with special needs or who are considered adoption-challenged a second chance at life. Through a safe, loving, and clean environment, we help restore the emotional and physical health of the cats under our care. By educating our community on the importance of respecting cats from all stages of life, we promote adoption and foster programs. No one should ever have to choose between feeding themselves or their pets. That is why we run a pet food bank program called the "Pet Pantry" .

At our core, KKH facilitates the needs of local at-risk adult felines in Lewis County, WA. Our cats are housed in a relaxed cage-free environment. We currently take in adult cats, & cats with special needs who have a difficult time getting adopted.

Programs: Cat care & Adoptions - Our Adoption program works with local adult, senior, geriatric, and special needs cats who need more time & attention than typical shelters can provide.Goals: To give second chances to local, adult cats and to take the time to find them the right forever homes. * To provide a safe and protected environment for special needs cats and those requiring additional attention. * To provide temporary and permanent places of refuge. Where rescued cats can be medically treated, emotionally healed, and behaviorally observed to be given a 2nd chance at finding they're forever ever homes.

Pet pantry - Pet food Bank program is dedicated to helping the residents of Lewis County, WA, who are struggling with the choice of providing for their own necessities or purchasing food for their pets. Goal: To ensure that no pet goes hungry.

Foster - Some KKH cats need extra love & care before they can be placed in forever home, by providing foster care for a few days, weeks, months, or a lifetime can be a lifesaving gift for a cat. Foster parents provide temporary or permanent homes for our adult cats. We have 3 types of fosters.
