A Docent is able to accomplish his/her role by sharing, interpreting, and celebrating the unique cultural, historical, and spiritual qualities of Iolani Palace and its grounds for the benefit of native Hawaiians, the people Hawaii, and the world.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Orientation or Training
  • Must commit to at least one 45 minute tour a week (3 hours per month) after certification.
  • 10 weeks (3 hours a week) of Docent Training. 40 Hours as a Palace Guardian. Docent script/tour test.
