If you know how to use a Cricut(r) die-cutting machine, the Oakland Public Library wants to meet with you! We would love to have some help out with cutting cute, colorful shapes for felt board stories and appliqués. The librarians have projects in mind and would be open to hearing your ideas, too!
The time commitment is flexible, but we'd love at least an hour or two of your time each month.
Click "I want to help" above and look for the email to arrive with next steps!

Mission Statement
Your Oakland Public Library empowers all people to explore, connect, and grow.
Description
The Oakland Public Library is a part of the City of Oakland and has been in existence since 1878. Our locations currently include 16 branches, a Main Library, 6 Teen Zones, the Second Start Adult Literacy Program, a Tool Lending Library and the African American Museum and Library. We also operate the Books for Wider Horizons program that recruits, trains, and places volunteer story readers in preschool or childcare centers throughout the City of Oakland and offer many other special services for residents of Oakland and California.
We are supported by a lively Friends of the Library group and by the Library Advisory Commission, as well as by local Friends' groups around the city.
