Do you love sharing your business knowledge? Do you want to help your local business community?

SCORE workshop presenters share their business acumen with their local community by leading educational workshops and seminars.

Our workshop team is looking for volunteers. We have three different roles. Do you love public speaking? Then our presenter role is perfect for you. Do you prefer to run the show and interact with the audience? Facilitating our workshops would be the ideal role. If you love to be behind the scenes to make sure the technology and Zoom are working correctly, then the operator role would be best.

The ideal candidate should have experience in workshops, education, or presentations as well as being local to the Beaufort County, SC area. Ideally, candidates would be involved with at least one workshop a month, which usually is one hour in length. Training will be provided prior to start. Computer literacy is necessary.

SCORE, America's premier source of free and confidential small business advice for entrepreneurs and small businesses, is a nonprofit resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). We have over 300 SCORE offices across the country and 10,000 volunteers offering free business mentoring and low- or no-cost workshops.

SCORE SC Lowcountry is an award-winning SCORE chapter that was recently selected Chapter of the Year- Small Markets from over 240 chapters. We work with clients that want to start or grow a business in Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton, or Colleton counties.

For over 50 years, SCORE's thousands of working and retired business professionals have volunteered to support the success of small businesses nationwide. SCORE business mentoring is free and confidential.

We provide:

  • Free, confidential business mentoring in person, via email, or by video
  • Volunteer mentors who share their expertise across industries
  • Free business tools, templates, and tips online
  • Inexpensive or free business workshops (locally) and webinars (online 24/7)
