Americorp Seniors Volunteer Program Seeks Volunteers 60+ - Teach Tech to Older Adults via Zoom
Lend your time to help others while staying in your home!
Are you age 55+ and ready to get back to feeling like you’re doing something meaningful? Since the start of the pandemic, many older adults have been unable to serve the community. We invite you to join RSVP or realign your existing volunteerism to help us create the new generation of virtual volunteers. English & Spanish-speaking volunteers greatly needed.
Background check may be performed.
All opportunities below are via telephone and/or a virtual connection such as Zoom, MS Teams.
SoFIA Tech’s Tech Connect Program: SoFIA Tech is Broward County’s foremost older adult technical education program dedicated to reducing isolation. If you feel comfortable using a computer, tablet, or smartphone we need YOU to help us deliver one-one-one or small group virtual classes teaching older adults how to utilize the internet to stay connected. SoFIAs Tech’s Get Connected: Are you an Android user? If you are, we need YOU to help us as we distribute 50 Samsung Tab A tablets and train older adults in need. Recipients will be of limited income and without a reliable WiFI connected device. Volunteers are needed to provide one-on-one support and/or virtual classroom instruction.
