Apply Now Save this job Back to search results The Fox Valley Special Recreation Association (FVSRA) was formed in 1976 and is an extension of the Batavia, Fox Valley, Geneva, Oswegoland, St. Charles, Sugar Grove Park Districts, and South Elgin Parks and Recreation Department to provide a diverse range of year round recreational activities to enable residents with disabilities to experience active, healthy and playful lifestyles.

FVSRA is seeking volunteers as Program Assistants, Inclusion Companions and Van Drivers for Oswego, Aurora, Batavia, Geneva, St. Charles and South Elgin locations! This is a great opportunity for those that want to have fun and make a difference in someone’s life, or wanting to obtain their first job and add experience to their resume!

Have FUN working with children, teens, or adults during daytime, after-school, evening, or weekend hours. Your commitment can be minimal or considerable. Everyone, regardless of prior experience, is encouraged to apply.

Volunteer schedules are flexible and you have the ability to design your own schedule. Involvement in FVSRA programs requires enthusiasm, patience, commitment, and dedication.

Description

FVSRA provides year-round Therapeutic Recreation Services including General Programs, Special Olympics Sports, Leisure Education, Day Camp, Special Events, Travel Opportunities, Individualized Programming, and Social Programs. All participants receive a Therapeutic Recreation Assessment upon registering to assist with proper placement within FVSRA programs.
