Are you interested in volunteering but don't like interfacing with the public? Are you passionate about getting recycling where it belongs?
Agape Café produces about one trash can's worth of recyclable products every Wednesday breakfast, as well as a few cardboard boxes. This volunteer job would be very quick and flexible-- you can pick up the recycling on your own schedule from Old Brick sometime in between Wednesday mornings. Currently we take our recycling to the old Hy Vee parking lot on North Dodge Street-- that is easy and free, but as the recycling guru you can make your own arrangements.
Want to take our recycling away and participate in a great community service? Contact us to get started!

Mission Statement
The Agape Cafe is committed to serving our homeless and in-need neighbors breakfast with dignity and respect. Our primary goals are to enhance self-esteem and promote wellness among our guests, our volunteers and ourselves.
Description
The Agape cafe serves breakfast to approximately 65 guests each Wednesday morning between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM and is open from 6AM to 9AM. Our guests select their meal from a menu that changes weekly but always includes eggs any style, bacon or sausage, homefries, toast, oatmeal or grits, juice and milk, coffee, pancakes or french toast, plus other specials like biscuits and gravy. Volunteer servers will wait on guests and then have a chance to sit and visit with them. We serve up a hearty dose of good food in an environment that encourages interaction between the volunteer staff and the guests.
