On a yearly basis, SAY San Diego assists with the execution of the Dia de Los Muertos celebration in City Heights. This event is an opportunity to celebrate the lives of friends and relatives who have passed away. People of all cultures come together for community altars, face-painting, mask-making, music, prizes and more.
Volunteers are needed to set up canopies/tables in the morning, complete face painting throughout the day, and break down canopies/tables in the evening.
- Date: Saturday, October 26, 2019
- Location: City Heights (directions will be provided)
- Hours/Minimum Time Commitment: 2 to 3 hour shift between the hours of 8:00 am and 6:30 pm (depending on role)
- Volunteers must be at least 18 years old
