VITAS Healthcare is looking for Patient Care Volunteers to visit patients on hospice at Alexian Brothers Sherbrooke located at 4005 Ripa Ave., St. Louis, MO 63125. Patient Care Volunteers offer companionship, play music, games, read to patients and help in other meaningful ways.
Volunteers are matched with a VITAS patient to provide specific, non- medical care through socialization and friendly visits. Every VITAS volunteer receives training in hospice philosophy, how to support patients/families, health/safety precautions and more. Comprehensive training and orientation for hospice volunteering is provided. Days and times for volunteering are flexible according to your availability. Description
Volunteers are the heart of VITAS Healthcare, providing friendly, non- medical support to hospice patients and their family or offering support services in the office. We are seeking caring and compassionate individuals to volunteers for our patients in their homes or in nursing facilities in the community.
