Habitat for Humanity Silicon Valley / East Bay is seeking enthusiastic and philanthropic volunteers for its 2nd annual cycling event in beautiful Palo Alto, California. The event will be held on Sunday, November 3, at HP’s campus. Featured events include a 12-mile family ride, 32-mile intermediate ride, 62-mile metric century ride, and our keynote event, the 100-mile century ride.
This key role is not just about providing hydration support -but also moral support and excitement! As riders travel the course, they may get fatigued; but with your smiling face and cheering attitude, you will revive them!
Roles for the day include:
- Set up tables, signage, and trash cans
- Mix sports drink
- Place and fill water and sports drink cups halfway full
- Distribute cups to athletes throughout race
- Clean up cups and other trash at the water station
- Breakdown equipment and supplies for easy pick-up by event staff

- Snacks and pats on backs
- Watching amazing people accomplish and amazing goal

Cycle of Hope offers cyclists of all skill levels the chance to create real change with every push of the pedal. With proceeds benefiting Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley, Cycle of Hope riders will bring affordable homeownership within reach of hardworking families in one of the world’s toughest housing markets. Four beautiful, premium courses - from a 12-mile beginners’ ride up to the 100-mile Century for hardcore cyclists - will showcase some of the best views the Bay has to offer, and the kids ride, and kids’ village make Cycle of Hope a family-friendly affair. Cycle of Hope, benefiting Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley, promises an unforgettable journey that will leave a permanent mark on our community.
