Currently seeking volunteers to visit hospice patients and support their families.
*This is an On-Call volunteering position, when a patient/family requests a volunteer to visit.
*Minimum weekly time commitment is 1 hour per week per patient.
*Volunteer is part of the Hospice Clinical Team and full and ongoing training is provided.
*Duties Include: Visit Patients in Home or Nursing Facilities.
Talk, read, or just sit with patient.
Provide Comforting Presence.
Caregiver Respite: Stay with patient while Caregiver goes out.
Light Housekeeping: Dust, take out trash, etc. (case by case basis)
Share your skills with patient: Knit, paint, play an instrument, etc.

- Driver's License Needed

- Must be at least 18
- Orientation or Training
- Initial Training is 12 hours to start. When volunteer accepts a patient to visit, then the minimum requirement is to visit patient 1 time a week for 60 minutes. Volunteer can visit for up to 4 hours per week.
- Have a huge heart to help people. Like to talk with people and learn their stories. Listening skills is very important.
