"It’s About Us" is a coaching program for middle school students, and their parents designed to build stronger relationships between parents/ guardians and their children as they graduate middle school and prepare for high school. We will help the couple:
- Create Family Goals
- Build Emotional Intelligence
- Learn to work as effective team players
- Improve Positive Communication
- Improve Self Confidence
- Improve Academic Excellence
*We will provide training, although experience working with adults is a plus

Description
Unlocking Futures, formally known as Youth at Risk is a not-for-profit, volunteer driven organization committed to transforming the chaotic lives of young people through persistent and compassionate mentoring. Since 1985, Unlocking futures has helped HS students make college an option: we take them from failing grades to passing grades; and/or passing grades to top grades. We give them tools to win in life such as a Goal-directed focus and Shift at-risk behaviors to responsible behaviors

- This program begins in November, 2019, and ends in March, 2020. It requires a 3 hour time commitment on one Saturday per month (November, January, February, March).
