Description

A cancer diagnosis not only turns one emotionally upside down but also adversely affects self-image and confidence due to treatment. There are so many unwelcome physical changes that result when battling breast cancer, both during treatment and afterward. These transformations can disrupt many aspects of one’s life. ShantaQuilette, a beauty and style enthusiast, blogger and local influencer personally saw the devastating effects of cancer on her aunt, and two friends who all lost their battles in 2015; the idea of The Pink Peppermint Project came to life in their honor. Peppermint being endearing, healing, and transforming. It is her vision to give cancer patients’ renewed confidence through beauty providing a healing moment not just for survivors but also for stakeholders who have helped patients’ through the disease, including the many physicians and healthcare workers who have treated patients and the circle of friends and family who continue to support loved ones. Her goal is to provide a comfortable space where women could gain regain confidence, while finding and connecting with each other.
