ACT-W Conferences run on the energy and passion of our volunteers who care about empowering women in technology and improving diversity. The ACT-W Bay Area Conference is an action-packed event where talented people can build skills, grow their community, hear from amazing speakers and accelerate their personal career paths. The conference includes speaking sessions, hands-on workshops, one-on-one coaching sessions and more!
Day-of volunteers will sign up for a 2 hour shift where they will get assigned what needs to be done and planned. For the rest of the conference, they are free to enjoy the sessions and opportunities presented... FOR FREE!

Mission Statement
ChickTech is dedicated to retaining women and non-binary people in the technology workforce and increasing the number of people of marginalized genders pursuing technology-based careers.
Description
ChickTech is a multi-generational community helping each other become technology creators. We facilitate hands-on technology-centric events and mentorship to empower, support, and increase the confidence of girls, women, and non-binary folks. Through our programs, we build community, empower participants to see themselves as leaders, and provide networking and mentoring opportunities in the rapidly growing tech industry.
As a mostly volunteer-run non-profit, we are always searching for partners who would like to get involved through donations of expertise, volunteer time, in-kind, funding, or just by helping to get the word out.
