During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
We need people who are willing to make prayer shawls for our patients. Prayer shawls are a "wearable" hug" that is given to a patient in need. While they are being made, the creator prays, sings, blesses or sends personal words to the intended recipient. Although we cannot share names or information specific to any individual patient, you can know that your shawl will go to someone who values the thoughts and prayers you put into it. Shawls can be made any way you would like. It is the process that makes it special!

At Encompass Health, we believe hospice is not a place, but rather a philosophy of care. Our goal is to bring dignity and comfort home by offering compassionate care to patients and their families during the final stages of life. .
Encompass Health is looking for a volunteer to provide companionship and support to patients during their final months and weeks of life. Volunteers provide non-medical services and respite time for caregivers and family members. As a hospice volunteer, you will be given choices as to how much and what types of things you want to do.
A few ways you can help as a hospice volunteer is by running errands for patients and families, playing games or reading with patients, walking and caring for family pets, or even creating a photo album of the patient and their family.
