As the holidays approach, so does the cold weather and financial uncertainty for many families.

The Salvation Army meets the needs of thousands of Alameda County residents every day and when you volunteer it helps us reach more people and changes their lives in a significant way.

Annually we provide over 13,500 nights of lodging, 85,000 meals, care for close to 14,000 seniors, 13,800 days of quality care and education for small children and 5700 families with food insecurity help through weekly bags of food

The Red Kettle Bell campaign provides most of the funding used to provide these vital community services to low income families. This year the campaign is from November 22nd - December 24th.

We will need Volunteers to fill almost 12,000 hours of bell ringing to make our goal before the end of the year.
Please consider ringing a bell for The Salvation Army. It's easy!
Bell Ringers never ask for money. They just ring the bell, smile and thank people for their donation. Funds raised during this season stay in the community and provide the following support:

  • daily and weekly food distribution
  • housing for homeless families
  • meals for those with food insecurity
  • creating communities for our seniors
  • support for veterans
  • a safe place for children in the community
  • after school and summer time programs and much more.

Please sign up at RingForChange.com and make an impact in your community for good!
