I hope this post finds you well. My name is Valerie Allen, CEO and Founder of Veteran Connection, Inc. We are headquartered in Miami Florida. I was invited by Glenda Gonzalez, the Marketing and Multicultural Development Coordinator at Homestead Miami Speedway. We'd like to invite you to assist Veteran Connection to participate in the 50/50 fundraiser and enjoy our Championship race (FREE ADMISSION).
As you may know, through a 50/50 raffle, tickets are sold to fans and event attendees; the proceeds of each purchased ticket goes into a centralized jackpot. To end the draw, a winning number is randomly selected with the lucky winner receiving half of the proceeds and the remaining funds are split to benefit the associated charities or non-profits participating of the raffle.
On Championship Weekend (Nov. 15-17), volunteers will be circulating the Venue to generate ticket sales and grow the jackpot. The winner of the jackpot will take 50% and the volunteering groups will get a percentage of the Jackpot based on the amount of money generated. The more tickets your group sells, the better.
Raffle tickets will go on sale via miami5050.com starting October 15th. Groups can start pushing sales once the page is live and until November 17th .
Groups will receive sales training so that you can raise the most money possible for your organization.
Age: Volunteers who are under 18 years of age must be accompanied by someone who is of age.
Volunteers: Groups who wish to participate must commit to providing volunteers all 3 days. Volunteers do not need to be the same every day.
Compensation:
- Flat rate depending on number of combined volunteers per individual organization that participate in the 50/50 raffles at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Organizations must bring a minimum of 25 volunteers (combined over all three days; i.e. 8-10/day) each weekend in order to receive volunteer payment.
- 50+ Volunteers = $3,000
- 35-49 Volunteers = $2,000
- 25-34 Volunteers = $1,000
- Sales Incentive (added to flat rate amount above)
- All groups will receive at least 3% of their total gross sales (not overall raffle ticket sales sold by all groups).
- If [Group 1] volunteers sell over $25,000 in raffle tickets, they will receive 5% of [Group 1]’s total gross sales (not overall raffle ticket sales sold by all groups).
- If [Group 1] volunteers sell over $45,000 in raffle tickets, they will receive 7% of [Group 1]’s total gross sales (not overall raffle ticket sales sold by all groups) Please help us be #1 in raffle ticket sales for this event! Dates and times TBA for shifts
